NDDC Skills Acquisition Training Programme Form 2017/2018

Niger Delta Development Commission has embarked on an empowerment programme called Niger Delta Skills Acquisition Training Programme.  They are partnering with Empowerment Support Initiative (ESI) to train unemployed youths in home fishing skills.

Both Craftsmen and craftsmanship will be trained in finishing of construction projects, especially homes and offices in Nigeria. Experts from the United Kingdom will be there live to make sure that young and intellectual Nigerians get the best of the programme.

In my last post bout NDDC, I showed interested applicants how to apply for the ongoing job recruitment on NDDC. Now, I will concentrate on the skills acquisition programme, whichever one you want, apply using the links provided in the application guide.

The skills training will be in the following occupations:-

  • P.O. P Ceiling Installation
  • Screeding
  • Decoration
  • Floor Tiling
  • Electrical Wiring
  • Carpentry
  • Plumbing

At the end of the training, Certificates will be issued to students upon satisfactory achievement of all the skills assessment criteria. With your certificate, you will stand a chance of gaining long term employment and other business opportunities.

Requirements for NDDC Skills Acquisition Training Programme

You must be from Niger Delta state and between the ages of 18-35 years

A minimum of SSCE or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) is required from all applicants

Proof of Local Government identification

A recent Passport Photograph (Not More than 3 months old)

Note: All applications are done online at the NDDC web Portal. You must submit your application within the specified time frame or your application will be nulled.

How to Apply for 2017/2018 Niger Delta Development Commission Skill Acquisition Programme

  1. As earlier stated, you must visit the application portal to start the registration process
  2. Go to http://forms.nddc.gov.ng/view.php?id=70
  3. Fill all the required details and upload the required documents.
  4. Submit your application when done and print your reference code.
  5. Keep your reference code safe for future references.

Important: Please, it is important to note that online forms that require document upload are best done with high-speed 3g internet connections. Slow connections could lead to errors at the point of submission.

At the end of the registration exercise, only the successful candidates will be contacted and they will resume training immediately.
